Hydrogen Energy

This hydrogen power project could involve transporting CO2 gas, potentially through populated areas. Can this be done safely?

At this time the HECA project does not intend to transport CO2 in populated areas.  Although, through the experience of Hydrogen Energy’s own staff and BP (which owns 50% of the company), we have extensive experience of operating gas pipelines, sometimes through populated areas. The industry, including BP, has years of experience of operating CO2 pipelines in the US.

The safety of any community which our projects may impact will be the priority in their development and operation. We will look to fully engage with these communities and local authorities through the permitting process to assure them of the integrity of our plans.
